Solid, although not outstanding German food. Quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. Cozy restaurant with an Oktoberfest feel. The Jägerschnitzel was excellent. I've eaten better Sauerbraten. Kids menu was sufficient. Was nice to have a Hofbrau beer to wash everything down. Good service considering how busy the restaurant was.

Food was great, short wait with fantastic service, and an unforgettable atmosphere! Warm bread, fresh soft pretzel with great mustards and dipping sauce, phenomenal Roast Duck with mashed potatoes and red cabbage. Fantastic experience and would highly recommend this authentic German experience and food! Valentine's Day evening and a packed restaurant by we were well taken care of by our attentive and kind waitress!!

I haven’t been there in years but stopped in recently for a late lunch to satisfy a craving for a taste of the old country, and a good German beer. Food, service and atmosphere was very good. Das jaegerschnitzle ist Wunderbar

Great German food. With an old world atmosphere. The workers are wonderful and explain anything on the menu including what type of beer they serve. The food is excellent. Try the Jaeger schnitzel. And for desert the apple strudel is a good choice.

There are so many different dishes, you gotta come here multiple visits to try it all. Can't go wrong with getting Snitzel and a nice cold beer. Tried Käsespätzle for the first time, and that was a great appetizer. If anything, be ready to take a doggie bag home because of their big portions. Always leaving full and happy.

I was back in the neighborhood and able to stop into Zum Stammtisch. My father used to take us and other family members here as frequently as we could. We often would see Aurora. Tonight, in memory of Dad, Mom and I came in for dinner. The waitress was lovely. I ordered rieslingschnitzel, which is veal schnitzel in a light riesling and mushroom gravy, I had the creamed spinach with it and the schnitzel was served over deliciously crisp home fries. Mom got the jägerschnitzel with the traditional darker mushroom gravy and also the creamed spinach. I wanted something a little different for a beverage so I got the coffee that has brandy in it. In the past, I’ve also had their goulash soup, which is a favorite for all and their potato pancakes. I’m so sorry the pork store has closed next door, I enjoyed going there as well. A few helpful hints for those who have yet to try this neighborhood icon, they take cash and card, they’re closed on Mondays, parking is hard to come by so get here earlier and prepare accordingly. Also, they close at 10pm however, their kitchen closes at 9pm, so to get a meal, you’ll need to be in before then.

The food is absolutely stellar. One of my favorite German restaurants. From the authentic layout to the service. All of it is top notch. I recommend this German restaurant to anyone. One of the last bastions of an old German establishment. My favorite is the pork shank or beef rib with horseradish sauce on the Friday specials.

Really good food. Good spot for large groups. Must get the strudel!
